Who Can Apply

Pre Requisites:

  1. Assured Job Offer in O, A, or B categories
  2. Work Experience of 6 months or more in last 10 years from O, A, B or C categories and it should fall on the list of occupations in demand. 

 OR, if you do not meet the above, then:

  1. Score a minimum of 8 points on EMF (Employability Mobility Factor)
  2. Available Settlement Funds for 3months

How to Apply: 

  • First you apply for Quebec Selection Certificate as a “Worker” and then apply for PR as a federal Skilled worker.
  • You apply at Mexico, NY, Paris, Brussels, Bunes Aires, Rabat (Morocco), Damascus (Syria), HK, Vienna for the certificate.
  • You apply at the above visa posts responsible for your country, once you get the certificate; you apply as Federal skilled worker at your country’s visa post.
  • There is always an interview for Quebec selection process.

Selection Criteria:

There are two grids of points for selection

  1. Main Grid: Minimum required is 59 for single and 68 for married 
  2. EMF Grid: To score a minimum of 8 points of EMF on main grid, you need to score a minimum of 30 if single or 35 if married, on EMF grid. 

You are assessed on following 10 factors:

Education, Employment, Age, Language proficiency, Stay and family in Québec, Characteristics of the accompanying spouse, Validated employment offer, Number of Children, Financial self-sufficiency, Adaptability.
